Will Nitish Kumar be the opposition candidate for the post of Prime Minister in 2024?

Lok Sabha Election: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has again come into the limelight after breaking ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Some people are even telling him the prime ministerial candidate from the opposition in the 2024 general election. But most of the opposition parties are still looking at him (JDU leader Nitish Kumar) with a message. A senior leader of the opposition said that Nitish Kumar is one of the leaders who aspired to become the prime minister. The list of such leaders includes West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, besides Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

So Nitish Kumar is eligible to become Prime Minister- Kushwaha

Janata Dal (United) National Parliamentary Board Chairman Upendra Kushwaha has said in Patna that Nitish Kumar is eligible to become the Prime Minister if we assess the personalities in the country. We are not making any claim today, but he has all the qualities to become a prime minister. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Sharad Yadav has also made it clear that Nitish Kumar can be the prime ministerial candidate in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Nitish Kumar, however, refused to answer questions asked by the journalists.

In 2017, when he was out of the RJD-JDU-Congress grand alliance and joined hands with the BJP. Then RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav called Nitish Kumar Paltu Ram. Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said that as far as allegations of corruption are concerned. Nitish Kumar’s political journey has been spotless, but there is one thing that is against him. He has been changing alliances several times.

Leaders of the Left and Trinamool Congress welcomed the developments in Bihar, but also refused to comment on Nitish Kumar’s chances of becoming the prime minister. NCP leader Majeed Memon said Nitish Kumar could be one of those few, including Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee. Who can be seen as a candidate for the post of Prime Minister in 2024. Memon, a former Rajya Sabha member, said that there are some regional leaders. Nitish Kumar is also one of them. Certainly, he is a contender. But at the time of elections, it will be spread with the consent of all who will challenge the BJP.

Former JDU leader RCP Singh, who was once close to Nitish Kumar, said that the Chief Minister of Bihar may take seven births, but he will never be able to become the Prime Minister. BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Vivek Thakur termed Nitish Kumar’s exit from the NDA as a relief. He said that Nitish Kumar’s ambition knows no bounds. He neither works for Bihar nor for his party. He works only to fulfill his ambition. However, there is no vacancy for the post of Prime Minister. The BJP leader said that a web series Paltu Ram Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 can be made on Kumar’s political life. Suspended Congress leader Sanjay Jha said Nitish Kumar would be a more acceptable face in 2024 as a candidate for a united opposition than Mamata Banerjee.
