Shaheed Rajendra Kumar Bhambu: Subedar Rajendra Kumar Bhambu, son of Jhunjhunu of Rajasthan, was martyred while fighting in a suicide attack by two terrorists in Rajouri, Jammu on Wednesday. The body of martyr Rajendra Kumar will be brought to his ancestral residence in Mali village of Jhunjhunu on Sunday morning, his last rites will be performed in the afternoon. Preparations are going on for the last rites of the martyr in the village.
A tricolor rally will be taken out in the village tomorrow in honor of martyr Rajendra Kumar. The news of martyr Rajendra Kumar’s martyrdom was given to his wife and daughters on Saturday morning. While the news of martyr Rajendra Kumar’s martyrdom came only on Thursday, but the wife and children were not told. This information was given only to his brother Rajesh Kumar in the house.

Rajesh Kumar, brother of martyr Rajendra Kumar said, “Sister-in-law had a talk with brother at 8 o’clock on Friday night, everything was fine. Suddenly there was an attack in the night and brother lost his life. Four bullets hit his body, but Even then he kept fighting the terrorists and killed them, the 5th bullet hit his neck, which killed him. I am sad for the loss of my brother like a father, but more proud than that that my brother has served his country. He lost his life while defending it.”

Havildar Badru Ram said, “I have also served in the army. I am proud that my son has been martyred while protecting the country. On July 16, he went back to join duty after spending a leave from here.”

A soldier in every house of the village
Remembering the martyr Rajendra, the retired soldier of the village said that we are eagerly waiting for the arrival of Rajendra. But it is sad that he is not among us, but it is a matter of happiness that our partner has become a martyr for the country. Similarly, many boys of our village will join the army, there is a soldier in every house in our village. Many boys are more interested to join the army.
We will take revenge, will not leave
Referring to the nefarious activities that are happening day by day from Pakistan, the village elder and retired soldier told ABP News that Pakistan’s plan will never succeed, those who come will kill them. If he still comes, he is killed. We did some damage. Brother has been snatched from us, but has fought for the country. We are very proud of him, we will not give up on this too.
Joined the Army in 1995
Martyr Rajendra had joined the army in February 1995. He became a subedar only about five years ago. Rajendra Kumar Bhambu was posted in Rajouri in 11 Rajrif. Just last month, on July 16, he had joined duty after spending a month’s leave in the village. Shaheed Rajendra has two daughters, 24-year-old Priya, 24 and 20-year-old Sakshi, who are preparing for UPSC while graduating in Jaipur. At the same time, eight-year-old son Anshul is studying in class III.
