Singh appealed to the political parties not to politicize the issues. The Defense Minister said that the Armed Forces are being equipped with latest weapons and technology and are ready to meet all future threats.

India will export defense equipment

Underlining the importance of achieving self-reliance in defense production, he said that his ministry has undertaken several reforms for indigenous weapons manufacturing. Singh said, “Due to the measures taken by the government in the last few years, India has leapfrogged to be among the top 25 defense exporters in the world. By the end of this decade, India will not only make defense equipment for itself, but will also meet the needs of friendly countries.
