Partition Horrors Remembrance Day: Independence Day will be celebrated in the country on 15th August. A lot of preparation is also going on across the country regarding this. In view of the 75th Independence Day, ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Har Ghar Tricolor Campaign’ are being run in the country. In the midst of all this, we should not forget that before independence in 1947 (August 15), the country was also divided into two parts. One part became Pakistan and the other India. There were riots in this partition and many women were also abused. Millions of people were displaced.

In view of this, tomorrow i.e. on August 14, ‘Partition Vibhisika Diwas’ program will be held in the whole country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend this program to be held at Talkatora Stadium. PM Modi will give a speech on the tragedy of Partition. Last year i.e. in 2021 itself, PM Modi had announced to celebrate ‘Partition Vivishika Diwas’.

Why did PM Modi announce Partition Horror Memorial Day?

Prime minister Narendra Modi Announcing the Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day on 14 August 2021, India had said that this day will inspire us to eliminate the poison of discrimination, animosity and ill-will, but it will strengthen human sensitivity, unity and social harmony. Let us tell you that on August 14, Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day. When India was partitioned, the eastern part of Pakistan went to the part of Pakistan. In the year 1971, when Pakistan lost the war to India, this region became Bangladesh.
