[ad_1]
Kapil Sibal On Supreme Court: Rajya Sabha MP and Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal, while reacting to the decisions of the Supreme Court recently, has said that there is no hope left from the Supreme Court. He said that if you think that you will get relief from the Supreme Court, then you are making a big mistake. I am saying this after practicing 50 years in the Supreme Court.
He said that even if a historic decision is passed by the Supreme Court, but it hardly changes the ground reality. He said that this year I will be 50 years practicing in the Supreme Court and after 50 years I feel that I have no hope left from the Supreme Court. If you talk about the progressive decisions of the Supreme Court, then there is a lot of difference in its ground reality. He said that the Supreme Court has taken decisions on privacy and if ED is coming to your house, then why privacy.
Kapil lodges disagreement on Supreme Court decisions
Kapil Sibal has expressed his dissatisfaction with the recent decisions of the Supreme Court and also expressed his displeasure. It also criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for dismissing the petition of petitioner Zakia Jafri in the Gujarat riots. In both these cases, Kapil Sibal appeared for the petitioners.
Verdict some ground reality some
Giving the example of the decision to declare Article 377 of the IPC unconstitutional, Kapil Sibal said that after the pronouncement of the verdict, the ground reality remains as it is. He said that freedom is possible only when we stand up for our rights and demand that freedom. He said that politically sensitive cases are assigned to a few judges and the verdict can be predicted in advance.
