Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’. Under this, the Indian Coast Guard did an underwater flag demo in the sea. PM Modi has started this campaign to awaken the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people of the country and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
An officer of the Indian Coast Guard informed that under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by the Indian Coast Guard, Coast Guard personnel have unfurled the tricolor by going under the sea. The Indian Coast Guard gave an underwater flag demo at sea as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’, the official said. The objective of this initiative is to inculcate the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

Sources say that through this campaign people’s relationship with the tricolor will change from official to personal. This will also help in inculcating the feeling of patriotism. At present, the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign encourages citizens to unfurl the national flag of India at their homes on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.

It is being told that to meet the supply of tricolor across the country, states have mobilized Self Help Groups (SHGs) for production of flags and local sewing units and MSMEs have also been involved. At the same time, the Ministry of Textiles has identified flag producers who are supplying flags in large quantities. According to the information, all post offices of the country will start selling flags from August 1.
