Rafale Fghter Jets: The Chinese Air Force is in trouble with India’s Rafale fighter jets. Due to the fear of Rafale, the Chinese Air Force is preparing such new hangars at the air base close to the LAC, on which bombs of up to 500 kg, cruise missiles and ground penetrating bombs can also be used. Can’t do damage. According to the information, China is doing this to avoid Rafale attacks. These reports have come to the fore at a time when there is a tremendous tension between the air forces of India and China on the LAC adjacent to Eastern Ladakh.
35 out of 36 Rafale have reached India
Of the 36 Rafale fighter jets taken from France, 35 have reached India. An entire squadron of these Omni Role Fighter Jets has been operationalized in Ambala, while the last fighter jet is yet to arrive in Hashimara, North Bengal next month. A squadron of the Indian Air Force consists of 18 fighter jets. But the inclusion of Rafale in the Indian Air Force’s combat fleet has created a stir in the Chinese Air Force.
China is building a strong hangar in Lhasa-Civil anger
The Chinese Air Force has started strengthening the infrastructure of its airbase coming under Rafale’s JD. According to reports, the Chinese Air Force is preparing a very strong hangar (shelter) in Tibet’s capital Lhasa and another major airbase, Nagri Gunsa, so that the Rafale bombing can have no effect. According to the information, the Chinese PLA-Air Force has prepared 12 new very strong aircraft shelters in Nagri Gunsa of the Tibet Autonomous Region. At the same time, 24 new shelters have also been prepared at the Lhasa Air Base coming under the JD of Rafale’s second squadron Hashimara. These shelters (hangers) are used to park the fighter jet. Because fighter planes are never parked under the open sky at the airbase. By doing this, the fighter jets of the opposing country can easily target. That is why these hangers are made. But the bombs and missiles of modern fighter jets like Rafale can penetrate even these hangars. That is why the Chinese Air Force is paying special attention to the strength of these hangars.
China is making the walls of the hangar-gate strong
According to the reports, the walls of the hangars built by the Chinese Air Force in Lhasa and Nagri Gunsa are more than three meters thick. The gates of these hangers are also made from single piece high strong steel plate. All this is being done so that these hangers can be kept safe from 300-500 kg bombs. Also, any cruise missile or ground penetrating bomb of any kind can be saved as used by the Indian Air Force during the Balakot air strike in Pakistan.
Know what are the merits of Rafale
Significantly, the combat range of Rafale is about 1850 km. With the fuel or extra-fuel tank, Rafale can fly up to 3700 km. The weight of Rafale is 10,300 kg and it can take flight with bombs and missiles up to twice its weight. That is, with a total weight of 24500 kg, Rafale can takeoff. Talking about Rafale’s fire power, it makes him deadly. Its air to ground means long-range Scalp cruise missile is no match for air-to-ground. These missiles are used to destroy enemy bunkers, hangars, shelters and infrastructure.
Rafale’s Air to Air i.e. air-to-air Meteor missile which can hit up to 150 km. About 100 kilometers comes in the escape zone of Meteor, that is, it can drop any target up to 100 kilometers. Due to these qualities of Rafale, the Chinese Air Force is in a lot of trouble. The aerial distance of Rafale’s first squadron, Ambala to China’s Nagri Gunsa, is about 360 kilometers. At the same time, the distance of Lhasa, the capital of Tibet from Hashimara, is about 330 kilometers. Apart from this, the distance from Hashimara to China’s Shighaste Airbase is 290 km and Gongar Air Base is 320 km.
Operation base may be ready in Leh-Srinagar
If Rafale is deployed as an operational base in Leh or Srinagar, then the distance of Kashghar, the important airbase of China, is 625 km and Hotan is 570 km. Similarly, if Rafale is deployed operationally at Tezpur or Chhabua airbase in Assam, then the distance of Nayangchi airbase of China will be about 320 km from there. That is, all the Chinese air bases close to the LAC in Tibet are under Rafale’s JD.
It is no longer easy to compete with India
In fact, it was only after the Doklam dispute in 2017 that China understood that confronting India is no less than a challenge. At the same time, India had signed a deal for 36 Rafale fighter jets from France. Since then, the Chinese Air Force is engaged in breaking the Rafale. That is why China has deployed its stealth fighter jet, J-20, at the airbase close to the LAC. Apart from this, the S-400 missile system has also been deployed close to the LAC for air-defense.
