Terrorists wanted to shake the valley before Independence Day, Army killed 5 in the operation

Jammu Kashmir Terrorist Killed: The army has foiled the plan of a major attack of terrorists before Independence Day. There was an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday in which three terrorists were killed. 2 AK series rifles, 2 pistols and other warlike weapons were recovered from the encounter site. All three were members of the terrorist organization Lashkar (TRF).

Terrorist Latif Rather was also among those killed. This terrorist has been involved in the killings of many civilians including Rahul Bhat and Amrin Bhat. Brigadier VJS Birdi, Commander 5 Sector, said that a major operation was carried out on 10 August in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir in which a module of Lashkar was neutralized. This module was led by Latif Rather, who was a member of Lashkar for the last 2 decades. This terrorist was involved in major activities including killing of police and SF personnel.

The attack was planned before Independence Day

Brigadier VJS Birdi said that Latif was recently involved in terrorist activities along with Saqib Ahmed Khan, who has also been killed in this operation. They had murdered Samir Ahmed, Rahul Bhat and Amrin Bhat, Sarpanch of Khonmoh and non-locals at a brick kiln in Chadoora. The Brigadier said that they were planning a major attack before Independence Day. On 10 August, based on inputs from the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Rashtriya Rifles and the police launched an operation against them and killed all three. There were no security forces casualties in this operation.

5 terrorists eliminated in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, security forces have eliminated 5 terrorists in two separate operations in Budgam and Rajouri of Jammu and Kashmir. Of these, three terrorists have been killed in Budgam and two in Rajouri. In Rajouri today, the Indian Army successfully killed two terrorists who were trying to infiltrate the soldiers’ camp. During this, three soldiers also became martyrs.
