Shouting of slogans prohibited in parts of Guwahati

To keep associations and gatherings of people from doing disturbance in parts of the West Police locale in Guwahati, the DCP of the police area has given a prohibitory request.

The appointee magistrate of police (DCP) of West Police region in the request said “some predetermined and unknown people or gatherings of people or associations/affiliations are probably going to upset typical working of workplaces, development of open and stream of traffic in dish of West Police locale, Guwahati”.

The DCP in the request said “it is captured that such gatherings of people or associations/affiliations circular segment arranging or complete tumult/exhibit/yelling of trademarks in parts of West Police region, Guwahati which may cause penetrate of harmony and open request and may cause unsettling influence/interference of tranquil development of open traffic and furthermore ordinary working of office in previously mentioned zone.”

The DCP said “it is important to take preventive measures to guarantee quiet development of open, smooth progression of traffic and ordinary working of workplaces” in regions under the West police region.

The prohibitory request has been cinched under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, read with Assam government notice no. HMA 735/2008/Pt-I/243, gave on December 24, 2014.

In the request, DCP Nilesh Sawakare disallows gathering of in excess of 5 people, disturbance, show, parade and yelling trademarks in the whole West Police locale under Bharalumukh, Fatasil Ambari, Gorchuk, Jalukbari and Azara police headquarters without earlier consent from the skilled power.

“Any individual wronged by this request is, in any case, at freedom to show up before me for filling composed complaint, assuming any, for abrogation/adjustment of the request,” the DCP said.
