RSS and Mohan Bhagwat changed the DP of Twitter, installed the tricolor

Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign: PM Modi had appealed to all the countrymen to change their DP on social media and put Tiranga. Many ministers, chief ministers and opposition leaders, including the PM, had put the photo of the tricolor on their DP. However, RSS and organization chief Mohan Bhagwat did not change his DP. After which the RSS and BJP came under the target of the opposition. Meanwhile, now RSS and Mohan Bhagwat have changed the DP of Twitter. The picture of the tricolor is now on both the accounts.

In fact, during his Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast, PM Modi had appealed to the countrymen to put the tricolor as their DP on social media between August 2 and 15. All the Union ministers, including PM Modi himself, changed their DP and put a photo of the tricolor. At the same time, the DP was also changed by many Congress leaders including Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

BJP took a dig at Congress leaders’ DP

Congress leaders had put a picture of former PM Jawaharlal Nehru holding the tricolor as their DP. BJP took a dig at Congress over this picture. BJP leaders had said that Rahul Gandhi should look outside his family. Also party members should be allowed to use their photographs with the tricolour.

Criticism for not changing photos of RSS

After the appeal of PM Modi, RSS and Mohan Bhagwat did not change the DP on their social media. After which BJP and RSS came under target of opposition parties. Congress leader Pawan Khera shared a screenshot of the profile photo of RSS and its chief Mohan Bhagwat on Twitter and wrote, “Sangh people, now adopt the tricolor.” Senior Congress leader and MP Jairam Ramesh had said that, “We are putting the photo of our leader Jawaharlal Nehru with the tricolor in his hands as DP, but it seems that the message of the Prime Minister did not reach his family. Who lived in Nagpur for 52 years. Did not hoist the flag in their headquarters, will they obey the Prime Minister?

Opposition asked questions to PM Modi

AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi made a scathing attack on PM Modi and RSS regarding this matter. He had said that, “PM Modi says that his base is the ideology of the RSS. He is asking us to put a Tiranga DP and take out rallies, but the RSS rejected independent India.” Apart from these, leaders of many other parties including Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal criticized BJP and RSS.
