According to Sanjay Sondhi, SDM, Karawal Nagar, about 200 people from the low-lying areas of his district have been shifted to higher places. Arrangements are being made for water, food and other essential things. A flood warning is declared in Delhi when the release of water from Hathnikund barrage in Yamuna Nagar, Haryana crosses the one lakh cusec mark and then people living in flood-affected areas are evacuated from there. The work of extracting water from Dhar Dam continues
