On the celebration of independence, there will be diversion on these routes in Delhi, 8 roads will remain closed

Delhi Traffic Police Advisory 15 August: The country is celebrating 75 years of independence. Prime minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) will address the country tomorrow i.e. on August 15 after unfurling the national flag at the Red Fort in Delhi. During this, movement will be closed on many routes in the capital. An advisory has been issued by the Delhi Traffic Police regarding the Independence Day celebrations. Delhi Traffic Police has imposed restrictions on several roads to ensure smooth movement of traffic in the national capital.
Keeping in mind the tight security arrangements on the occasion of Independence Day, there are many routes which will not be available for regular commuters. As per the advisory of Delhi Traffic Police, only authorized vehicles will be allowed around the Red Fort. From here PM Modi will deliver his Independence Day speech. The area of Red Fort will be closed for general public on 15th August from 4 am to 10 am.
Apart from this, eight roads have been closed for the general public from 4 am to 10 am.
- Netaji Subhash Marg from Delhi Gate to Chhata Rail
- Lothian Road GPO Delhi to Chhata Rail
- SP Mukherjee Marg to HC Sen Marg to Yamuna Bazar Chowk
- Chandni Chowk Road from Fountain Chowk to Red Fort
- Nishad Raj Marg Ring Road to Netaji Subhash Marg
- Esplanade Road and its Link Road to Netaji Subhash Marg
- Ring Road from Rajghat to ISBT
- Outer Ring Road from ISBT to IP Flyover Salimgarh Bypass
Delhi Traffic Police has started commercial operations on Noida, Loni, Singhu, Ghazipur, Badarpur, Safia, Maharajpur, Aya Nagar, Auchandi, Surya Nagar, Rajokri, Dhansa, Apsara, Kalandi Kunj, Jharoda, Bhopura, Lal Kuan, Pul Prahladpur and Tikri border. And the movement of private vehicles has been banned. This ban will be from 10 pm on Sunday night to 11 am on Monday. The advisory said that buses going towards Kauria Bridge, Red Fort, Old Delhi Railway Station will pass through ISBT bridge (Yudhisthir Setu) and terminate at Boulevard Road near Mori Gate U-turn.

According to the advisory, all buses terminating at Old Delhi Railway Station, Red Fort, Bhai Mati Das Chowk, Mori Gate, ISBT, Pragati Maidan and Ambedkar Stadium Terminal will terminate in front of Turkman Gate Asaf Ali Road. Apart from this, buses going from South Delhi to Red Fort, Old Delhi Railway Station, Bhai Mati Das Chowk (Fountain) will be diverted via Ring Road-NH-24, Seemant Dam (Pushta) Road and New ISBT Bridge. and terminate at Boulevard Road.
