LED In Local Train: Indian Railways has started a new facility for providing information and entertainment to railway passengers in the train. For the first time in Howrah division of Eastern Railway, infotainment service has been started in local trains. In the presence of Howrah DRM Manish Jain, 4 TVs have been installed in each rake of each train. This facility has been started from Howrah station in Howrah-Bandel. According to railway officials, a total of 2,400 LED TVs will be installed in all 50 EMU trains (EMUs) of Howrah division.
Along with Manojrunn, important information related to railways will also be visible on these TV screens. After inaugurating the LED TV in the train, Manish Jain has said that a tie-up has been done with a private company which will install LED in the train. It will not only entertain the people but will also show information about the programs of the Railways and the Central Government. Apart from this, people will also be able to give their advertisement in this.
LEDs installed for the first time in Eastern Railway
Giving more information, Manish Jain said that the facility has already been provided in the trains of Mumbai and Mysore, but this work has been done for the first time in Eastern Railway. He told that this is just an entertainment and a means of gathering information. Only good programs will be played on these LED TVs. 4-4 LED TVs have been installed in one rake of each coach and 2 thousand 400 LED TVs will be installed in 50 local trains of North Eastern Railway.
