‘Nitish Kumar is busy setting new records’, Chirag Paswan’s target

Bihar Political Row: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan on Monday hit out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United (JDU) and challenged it instead of accusing him of being involved in the conspiracy. He alleged that the JD(U) leader has insulted his party’s former national president RCP Singh and had earlier insulted Sharad Yadav and George Fernandes as well. Chirag Paswan had fielded candidate against JDU
It is noteworthy that Chirag had fielded his candidates in all the seats contested by JDU in the Bihar assembly elections of the year 2020. This is also believed to have been one of the main reasons for the JD(U) being reduced to 43 as compared to 70 seats five years ago.
Referring to this, the current national president of JDU, Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan, had termed it the ‘chirag model’. Responding to this, the LJP (Ram Vilas) leader said that if there is any Chirag model, it is ‘Bihar First, Bihari First’, for which the Chief Minister never respected our call.
‘Don’t blame me for your defeat’
Chirag said that he should stop blaming me for the defeat of his party. JDU is divided. RCP Singh was forced to leave the party, but Nitish Kumar needs to beware of people like Lalan and Upendra Kushwaha (JDU parliamentary board chairman).
JD(U) has claimed that Nitish Kumar has transformed Bihar during his rule of more than one and a half decades. On this, Chirag took a dig, citing the poor ranking of the state in the NITI Aayog report, that when the NITI Aayog meeting was held yesterday, our Chief Minister refused to attend the meeting, while it was for him to present the demands of the state before the Prime Minister. Chirag questioned what was the problem with Nitish Kumar attending the meeting, even though he opposes the BJP. Can he be a stronger opponent of this party than Mamata Banerjee and Arvind Kejriwal who were present there?

Chirag is a Lok Sabha member from Jamui. His late father and former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan’s party LJP was split last year by rebel members of his family. Chirag is now the head of a separate group called LJP (Ramvilas).
Chirag dismissed JDU’s allegation that he had acted as a “pawn” to defeat JDU in the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections. He said that I work according to the values imbibed by my late father, whom the Chief Minister never gave due respect. JD(U) should stop leveling allegations against me and if it suspects that BJP has hatched a conspiracy, it should directly confront its ally.
Why was the pride of Jungle Raj raised?
Chirag, who took a jibe at the JDU leader, said that when he lacked issues to contest the last assembly elections, he raised the slogan of Jungle Raj to stop people from voting for the RJD. Now they seem to be in the mood to shake hands with him.
