While the people of the country showed valor and struggle in the fight for independence, even after independence, there were many such sons who laid down their lives to protect the country. Tukaram Omble did not let loose the grip of his arms on Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist captured during the Mumbai attack, even after being shot several times. In this article, we will tell you about the great sacrifice of Martyr Tukaram Omble-

26/11 Mumbai attack-

On 26 November 2008, 10 terrorists reached Mumbai from Pakistan by sea with their nefarious intentions and thinking of terrorizing the prosperous land of India. These terrorists were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and were given proper training. All the terrorists had sophisticated weapons. After reaching Mumbai, these terrorists first indiscriminately killed people at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal and Leopold Cafe.

After that, going to the five star Taj Hotel in Mumbai, he fired indiscriminately in such a brutal and barbaric manner that he killed everyone who came in his sight. He did not spare men, women, the elderly and even children. More than 160 people lost their lives in this attack and more than 300 people were injured. Many foreigners were also included in those who lost their lives and were injured. On that day only 10 terrorists had stunned the financial capital of the country.

Tukaram Omble caught Kasab by giving martyrdom

The terrorist attack was almost brought under control. Many soldiers of the armed forces of India had killed the terrorists by taking their martyrdom. On the other hand, terrorist Kasab along with one of his accomplices had gone out of the car of one of his companions to spread terror. When he reached a checkpost, there was a fierce exchange of fire between the two terrorists and the police. Tukaram Omble was posted guarding this checkpost. One terrorist was killed in police firing but Kasab signaled to surrender. Actually he was pretending to be false. As soon as the policemen approached him, he started firing.

Then Tukaram Omble, without caring for his life, grabbed Kasab and held him in his arms. The barrel of the weapon was towards the other policemen, grabbing it, Tukaram turned it. Kasab started firing on Tukaram. The hold of India’s son Tukaram did not loosen and because of him, the only surviving terrorist of the Mumbai terror attack could be caught. From which it was revealed that Pakistan and the terrorist organization present there is behind this attack. Honoring the martyrdom of Tukaram Omble, he was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra. India will always be indebted to Tukaram’s sacrifice.

Martyr Tukaram Omble was honest and hardworking-

Tukaram Amble was an ordinary soldier in the Mumbai Police but he knew very well how big a responsibility lay on his shoulders. He was very serious about his duty. Apart from this, he used to care a lot about his companions. Even during the capture of Kasab, he twisted the barrel of his weapon to save the lives of his comrades. He was synonymous with courage and patriotism. Bharat Bhumi is proud of its son Shaheed Tukaram Omble.
