India’s first passenger drone designed for the Indian Navy, will fly without a pilot

Varuna Drone Update: A startup in Pune, Maharashtra has made the country’s first passenger drone ‘Varuna’. This special drone has been developed for the Indian Navy. The most special thing about this drone is that this pilotless drone can carry a payload of up to 130 kg.

The drone has the ability to cover a distance of 25 kilometers with this weight. Let us tell you that Prime Minister Narendra Modi saw Varun’s performance last month. A video was also shared on Twitter by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

In this drone, the person only has to sit and apart from this he has nothing to do. This drone will take him from one place to another on his own. It will be operated remotely. At the same time, it has four auto pilot modes, which retain the ability to fly continuously even in case of some malfunction.

The drone manufactured by Sagar Defense Engineering Company is capable of landing safely even after a technical fault in the air. Apart from this, the parachute will open automatically in case of emergency and will help in a safe landing. The company’s co-founder has said that ‘Varun’ can be used as an air ambulance or to transport goods to remote areas.

Let us tell you that the Navy had given this project to Sagar Defense. The company says that the plan is to complete this project in about one and a half years. It has been tested on the ground. It will meet many requirements of the Navy.
