Maharashtra: Every year during the rainy season in Mumbai, the road turns into a pond and there are potholes in many places. From there it becomes difficult to even walk the cars even far away. In this context, seeing such condition of roads in Mumbai, BJP MLA Amit Satam wrote a letter to CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and requested them. Did that a proper plan should be made for this so that people can get relief.
Satam has said in his letter that in the last 24 years, Rs 21,000 crore has been spent by the Municipal Corporation on the roads of Mumbai, despite this the condition of the roads in Mumbai remains the same. Satam took over as CM on July 26. Eknath Shinde And wrote a letter to Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis asking him to take immediate steps to improve the condition of the roads. Satam said that I want to bring your attention to the problem of roads and potholes of Mumbai. He said that this problem was not solved due to lack of foresight and thinking.
Also shed light on the problem of unorganized hawkers
Satam also highlighted the problem of unorganized hawkers in Mumbai. He said that the issue of hawkers has become strange here and it needs to be regulated. The Zonal Town Vending Committees have identified Hawking Zone and made eligible for allotment of Hawking pitches to 1.28 lakh hawkers. However, the previous government thoughtlessly suspended the process till the 2019 survey was completed.
Pavements and roads should be cleaned
Satam said that I would like to request you to give Hawking pitches in the designated Hawking Zone to eligible hawkers and clean our remaining roads and footpaths. Satam expressed confidence that the logical conclusion of two such problems would help in successfully resolving the long pending issues of the city.
