Landslide In Himachal Pradesh: The havoc of nature continues in Himachal Pradesh. Now there has been a huge landslide in Kullu district of the state. The Bagipul-Jaon road has been blocked due to landslide. At present, there is no news of any loss of life or property. A shocking video of the landslide has also surfaced. In view of the heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh, an alert has also been issued. The Meteorological Department had also expressed the possibility of landslides due to heavy rains in the hilly areas.
Earlier on Tuesday, there was a huge landslide in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. The State Disaster Management Authority had said that eight people were injured in the landslide. The State Disaster Management Director had said that according to the Kangra District Emergency Operation Centre, a landslide occurred at a construction site near a flour mill at around 9 am. In which 8 people were injured.

Rain continues in Himachal Pradesh
Another incident of cloudburst was reported in Himachal Pradesh’s Shalkhar village on Tuesday itself. Many small canals were also broken due to cloudburst. The incident came a day after a cloudburst wreaked havoc in Choj Nallah of Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district on Monday. The District Emergency Operation Center (DEOC) had informed that some houses were damaged due to the cloudburst. .
Chief Minister took the meeting
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur held a meeting with the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all the districts through video conferencing from Shimla. In the meeting, he reviewed the preparations of the administration to deal with various situations arising out of heavy rains in the state. The Chief Minister had directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the management of calamities due to heavy rains. He had said that adequate number of people and machinery should be deployed in natural disaster prone areas.
