JDU-RJD 2015 Cabinet: The 2015 assembly election in Bihar was contested by JDU-RJD under the Mahagathbahndhan and registered a massive victory. Then Nitish Kumar was sworn in as the Chief Minister for the fifth time. The Nitish Kumar government of JDU-RJD had formed a 28-member cabinet (Nitish Kumar 2015 Cabinet) keeping in mind the social system. Nitish Kumar, who once studied engineering, while pursuing social engineering, gave place to three Kurmis, four Muslims, five Dalits, three each Nishad (EBC) and Kushwaha, 2 Rajputs, one Bhumihar and Brahmin and seven Yadavs in the cabinet. . According to the caste equation of Bihar, then the general caste and the number of Dalits were 16-16 percent. At the same time, the number of minorities was 15 percent, people from backward classes 21 percent and people from extremely backward classes were told 32 percent.

The maximum number of Yadav faces were included in the cabinet of the Nitish Kumar government of 2015. In the 28-member cabinet, a total of seven Yadavs, including both sons of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashwi and Tej Pratap, were included. Jai Kumar Singh of JDU, who defeated Rajendra Singh of RSS, was made a cabinet minister, while Awadhesh Singh, who came from Rajput caste, a senior Congress leader who won from Wazirganj assembly constituency, was given a place in the cabinet. The then Bihar Congress President Ashok Chaudhary, who came from the Dalis community, also got a place in the cabinet. Congress veteran and Muslim face Abdul Jalil Mastan was also made a cabinet minister. Madan Mohan Jha, the Brahmin face of Congress from Mithilanchal, had joined the cabinet of Nitish Kumar government.

These faces were special in the previous JDU-RJD cabinet

Apart from Lalu’s two sons from the RJD side, Abdul Bari Siddiqui, a close aide of Lalu and Nitish, got a place in the cabinet. RJD leader Krishnanandan Verma became the minister. At the same time, JDU leader Rajiv Singh alias Lalan Singh, representing the Bhumihar community, was also made a minister. He had been a minister in the previous government too.

In 2015, two women were also given a place in the cabinet of Nitish Kumar government. The Grand Alliance had fielded 25 women candidates, out of which 23 won. Anita Devi from RJD quota and Manju Kumari of JDU were made ministers.

Phulwari Sharif’s MLA Shyam Rajak, who was a minister in the previous government, did not get a place in the cabinet even after being close to Nitish Kumar and winning, it was said that Lalu Yadav had objections to him. Due to Lalu’s objection, PK Shahi, who was a minister in the previous government, also did not get a place in the cabinet.

The Bihar government with the Grand Alliance formed in 2015 could not complete its term. Due to the intervention of RJD, there was talk of cracks in the government. In July 2017, Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of CM and returned to the NDA and formed the government again.

Current status of Bihar politics

According to unconfirmed reports, the JDU-BJP alliance has broken up amid the political upheaval in Bihar. JDU had called a meeting of its MLAs-MPs today, after which it came to light that Nitish Kumar will resign from the post of CM today and will present a claim by meeting the state government to form a new government. In unconfirmed reports, it is also being said that Nitish Kumar has accused the BJP of humiliating him and said that the BJP had hatched a conspiracy to eliminate JDU.

The national president of JDU is constantly attacking the BJP. He has said that BJP is cheating in 2013. He accused the BJP of stabbing JDU in the back. According to reports, Lalan Singh said that he will no longer have an alliance with the BJP.

RJD had also called a meeting of its MLAs today. Nitish Kumar may meet RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. At the same time, Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini tweeted today and wrote, “Do preparations for Raj Tilak, the lantern holders are coming.”
