Multi Role Drone To Vigil Over LAC: China has always had a bad eye on its neighboring countries. Relations between India and China have also been bitter for a long time. China has often been carrying out military activities on the border. At the same time, the soldiers of the Indian Army are also very cautious. India is also increasing its military equipment to keep an eye on the activities of the dragon. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is developing an AI-powered Multi Role Drone for surveillance along the borders with China.
Drones equipped with multi-role will be used for strategic missions in high altitude areas including the borders with China.
Dragon sighting with drone
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is developing a multi-role equipped drone. This drone will be capable of operating for a long time on the LAC. It is considered very important for strategic missions in high altitude areas including the borders with China. HAL has set a target to conduct the first test-flight of an unmanned aircraft (UAV) by the middle of next year. According to the information, there is a plan to produce 60 such drones based on Artificial Intelligence in the first phase of this project.
What will be the specialty of the drone?
This is a multi-role equipped drone. It will have a carrying capacity of 40 kg including missiles and sensors, and is being designed keeping in view the need of the armed forces to keep a close watch on mountainous areas along the Line of Actual Control. The long-lasting drone operating system will have applications of artificial intelligence and the armed forces will be able to use it for multiple purposes, including transportation of essential supplies.
Another ambitious project of HAL
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is working on another ambitious project. Under this, the company is exploring the possibility of producing the Israeli Heron TP Drones. The objective of this project is to emphasize the need of Indian Armed Forces as well as global supply. This drone can work for about 45 hours at an altitude of about 35,000 feet. It is equipped with satellite communication system with takeoff and landing. HAL is also working with DRDO on two different drone projects.
