Delhi Government: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today unveiled the Corona Warriors Memorial and the renovated hanging house in the Delhi Assembly complex. CM Arvind Kejriwal, while honoring the families of the Corona Warriors who gave martyrdom, said that the Corona Warriors helped people regardless of their lives. A memorial has been built for 31 such Corona Warriors.
People coming to the assembly will remember seeing that these Corona Warriors lost their lives for others. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that we have also unveiled the renovated hanging house. It is made of British era. On the 75th anniversary of independence, there is also a chance to remember those people who sacrificed their lives to get us freedom. It is our duty that we all together make such an India, which was the dream of the people who gave their martyrdom.
New tradition established in Delhi Assembly
Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that every year on August 9, we will gather in the assembly premises to pay tribute to the Corona Warriors who gave their martyrdom. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Deputy Speaker Rakhi Birlan, MLA and many other officials were present.
A program was organized by Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel for the unveiling of the Corona Warriors Memorial and the renovated hanging house built in the assembly premises. After unveiling the Corona Warriors Memorial and the renovated hanging house, Chief Guest CM Arvind Kejriwal said that for the last two and a half years, all of us are battling with Corona.
Corona Warriors did a wonderful job
It was probably the most difficult disease in human history. Many people lost their lives. Meanwhile, there were many people who did the work of saving the lives of others without caring about their lives. These people were posted in different hospitals and departments. When the most difficult period was at that time, these people helped people without caring about their lives. A memorial has been built for 31 such people in the Delhi Assembly complex.
The Speaker of the Delhi Assembly thought of building a memorial and built this memorial. For this I want to thank them wholeheartedly. On behalf of the Delhi government, we have given an honorarium of one crore rupees each to the families of all these martyrs.
One crore rupees given to Corona Warriors
It has also happened only inside Delhi that the families of Corona Warriors have been given an honorarium of one crore rupees each after their martyrdom. Perhaps Delhi is the only state in the whole country and in the whole world, where such work was done. Today a memorial was built in honor of those Corona Warriors. I am very happy with this. All those who would come to the assembly, seeing the memorial, would remember that it was these people who lost their lives for others.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that today we also inaugurated the reconstructed hanging house. This hanging house belongs to the British era. This assembly is very old. This is the structure of the British era. No one knew that there is a hanging house here. Only people used to say that there is a hanging house here. No one dared to break the lock and go inside it.
The hanging room of the English was frightening
The Speaker of the Assembly broke the lock and went inside and saw how the system of hanging two people together is in place. Seeing it once, it breaks my heart. When you try to imagine how our heroes would have been hanged, there is a lot of panic. How many countless people have sacrificed their lives to give that open air that we are breathing today.
Freedom from sacrifices
There is a hanging house here. In the same way, it is not known how many hanging houses will be there across the country, where countless people were hanged, then we got freedom. Today, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence, it is also an opportunity to remember all those people who sacrificed their lives to get us freedom. It is our duty that we all together make such an India, which was the dream of the people who gave their martyrdom.
Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel said that there must have been no family in Delhi, whose family has not suffered from corona. There are many families whose two or three people have gone. The amount of contribution made by the Corona Warriors in saving our lives, it is less to be praised.
people lost their lives due to corona
He also laid down his life in the war against Corona. For many days he did not go to his house. Don’t worry about your children whether to meet them or not. In that situation he kept Delhi safe. A constable kept safe on the border and we all kept these doctors and staff safe in Delhi. That is why this memorable monument has been built in his memory.
The names of 31 people who were martyred while serving the people had come to us from different hospitals. There is a stone plaque in his name here. We will all gather here on 9th August every year to pay homage to our corona warriors.
Revolutionaries locked in the Red Fort were hanged in the assembly?
The revolutionaries locked in the Red Fort were hanged in the hanging house located in the assembly complex. That room had been closed for a long time. That hanging house has been given a very beautiful look. The renovated hanging house will touch the hearts of the people and they will feel that they should invite their family and friends to show it. The courtyard of Delhi Vidhan Sabha is becoming more dedicated and inspirational towards our martyrs.
During this, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal honored the family members of Corona Warriors who lost their lives while serving the people during Corona. The families of 31 Corona Warriors who gave martyrdom were honored.
