Delhi Excise Policy: A CBI inquiry has been recommended by the Lieutenant Governor regarding the excise policy of Delhi. After which Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that efforts are being made to implicate Manish Sisodia. But now the BJP has also become an attacker on the Kejriwal government. BJP has leveled many allegations against him. A press conference was held on behalf of BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi. In which he surrounded the Delhi government fiercely.
Meenakshi Lekhi said that, if Kejriwal does not answer the questions, it will not work, in a democracy, there is a trust on voting and not on drinking… There is a gang in Delhi which is running it. This action happened during Delta Wave. The contract was awarded to the blacklisted company. The people of Delhi have been cheated.
‘What action was taken in the license case?’
The BJP leader said that Kejriwal ji should tell that on October 25, 2021, the Excise Department had given notice to those companies, which were given liquor licenses. What was the action taken in this matter? On July 14, 2022, without a cabinet note, a rebate of Rs 144.36 crore was given to the same companies without following the law? If the procedure is not followed for that, then that deposit goes to the government treasury. But in this case, these 30 crores were returned to that company without any approval and process.
Benefits given to companies – Lekhi
BJP leader Lekhi said that, when the L1 tender is held by any company, then some Earnest Money Deposit has to be given before that tender. A company made an Earnest Money Deposit of Rs 30 crore. The decisions they have taken in violation of the rules to benefit the liquor companies, have caused loss to the public.
Meenakshi Lekhi further said that liquor policy was adopted illegally in Delhi. The people of Delhi have been cheated. Kejriwal ji should give full details of this scam on the basis of facts. What was the hurry that they had to sign the papers without setting the agenda.
