Nupur Sharma News: Suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma got a big relief from the Supreme Court today. The case registered against him in different states has been transferred by the top court to Delhi. Earlier on July 19, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and Jamshed Pardiwala had stayed Nupur’s arrest in connection with the remarks on Prophet Mohammad. Also, a notice was issued to transfer the FIR registered in 8 states to Delhi.
During the hearing today Nupur’s lawyer Maninder Singh said that the answers of many parties have not come. We are getting summons again and again from West Bengal. On this, Justice Suryakant said that but we have stayed the punitive action. After this Maninder Singh said that it is better that all the cases should be transferred to Delhi.
After this, the Justice asked that after our hearing on July 19, has there been any other FIR? Justice said that we will transfer all the FIRs together and transfer them to Delhi. On this, Maninder said that the petition should be allowed in the Delhi High Court itself to get the FIR canceled. To this the judge said that yes, it will be done.
What did the West Bengal lawyer say?
After this, West Bengal’s lawyer Maneka Guruswamy said that in the FIR registered in Delhi, which is being described as the first FIR, Nupur is the complainant and not the accused. The judge said that then which is the first FIR in which Nupur is an accused? Maneka told that that FIR is from Mumbai.
Maninder Singh said on this that the danger to Nupur’s life should be kept in mind. Justice again said that we will transfer to Delhi only. Maneka objected to this and said that it would be wrong. The first FIR is from Mumbai. On this, Justice said that the investigating agency (Delhi Police) will do its job.
Maneka intervened and said that earlier the demand for transfer of all FIRs to Delhi has been rejected once. It is better that a joint SIT should be made. On this, the Justice said that we later found that due to security reasons, it is not possible for the petitioner to go to courts across the country.
court order
Justice Surya Kant said in the order, “The petitioner (Nupur Sharma) sought quashing of the FIR registered against him or transfer of him to Delhi so that the same agency conducts the investigation. On July 1, we rejected the demand. But later the new facts were submitted to us. appeared.”
Justice said, “We are not passing any order on the demand to quash the FIR. For this the petitioner can place a demand in the Delhi High Court. We have considered the grave danger to the life of the petitioner. We are transferring all the FIRs to Delhi.” Everyone will be investigated by Delhi Police.”
