Union I&B Minister Prakash Javadekar dispatches Doordarshan Assam, a 24-hour devoted channel for the State; says the channel is a blessing to individuals of Assam and will take into account all segments of the number of inhabitants in the State

Teacher Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam, while tending to the event over video gathering, said “it is a cheerful second for us all in Assam in light of the fact that the open supporter is adding a plume to its kitty with the dispatch of DD Assam.” Heaping acclaim on Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati, Prof. Mukhi said that on account of its steady jobs, the novel, rich and bright culture of Assam got support from everywhere throughout the nation.
Secretary, Min. Of I&B, Shri Amit Khare, present at the Doordarshan Kendra in New Delhi, said that since the dispatch of DD ArunPrabha by the Prime Minister a year ago, the Ministry was talking about the change of DD North East to another channel solely for Assam. Shri Khare focused on that Assam is the passage to north-east and north-east is the entryway to ASEAN nations included that the State can be an extraordinary connection among India and ASEAN. The Secretary said “I am certain DD Assam will give another stage to the developing ability of the locale and carry the remainder of India closer to north-east and furthermore make the ability of north-east to the entirety of India.”
