Assam CM Himant Biswa Sarma: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, in a meeting with the Tea Garden Management and Labor Union on Tuesday, has made a big announcement for the tea garden workers. Sarma said that- We have decided that Rs 27 more ration and other benefits will be increased in the daily wage of tea garden workers. Sarma said that the welfare of tea garden workers has always been the top priority of our government. It has been decided to increase their daily wages by Rs 27 and above in ration and other benefits.

Daily wages of workers increased by Rs 232 and Rs 210

Sarma said that it is happy to inform that in a meeting with the tea unions, it was decided to increase the wages of workers by Rs 27, thus increasing their daily wages in Brahmaputra Valley and Barak Valley by Rs 232 and Rs. 210 has been increased to Rs 210 and with this the government subsidy for traditional tea leaves has been assured to increase from ₹7 to ₹10 per kg.

Gardeners will get ration card

CM said that all the gardeners will get ration cards and we have urged the gardeners to take license of fair price shop. Representatives of Indian Tea Association, NE Tea Association, Tea Association of India, Indian Chah Parishad, Assam Tea Planters Association and Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangh were present in the meeting.

In this meeting with senior officers, preparations for the upcoming examinations for recruitment to Grade 3 and 4 posts were also discussed. He directed the officials to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a very efficient and fair manner and take precautionary measures for the examinations.
