APSC Preliminary Examination Syllabus 2020 – APSC CEE: The Preliminary Examination (Objective Type) shall consist of two papers. APSC Preliminary Examination Syllabus for Paper-1: General Studies I
The total qualifying marks of Paper-I General Studies I of Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination maybe determined by the Commission.
General Studies I shall be set in such a way that 30% to 35% of questions shall compulsorily relate to Assam.
Polity -. Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchyat Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.
Current Affairs – Current Events of National and International importance
Economy – Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives
Geography – Indian and World Geography – Physical, Social, Economic, Geography of India and the World
History & culture – History of India and Indian National Movement.
Environmental Ecology/Bio-diversity – General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-Diversity and Cliate Change – that do not require subject specialization
Science – General Science
APSC Preliminary Examination Syllabus for Paper-2: General Studies 2
This is the paper that is qualifying in nature. General Studies II shall have minimum qualifying marks of 33%.
But this seems easy. But this could be the toughest hurdle. This is a paper that is not related to the other papers so many find difficult to clear this paper. Now 33 % may seems easy but this is one of the most toughest hurdle for many. And you should have good effort for this.

iii. Logical reasoning and analytical ability
iv. Decision making and problem solving
v. General mental ability
vi. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc) ( Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. (Class X level)
