Amit Shah On CAA Rules: The central government is planning to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act after the nationwide booster dose campaign being run to protect against the corona epidemic. Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave this information during a meeting with BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari of West Bengal.
Let us inform that Shubhendu Adhikari met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Parliament House Complex on Tuesday. During this, he urged Amit Shah to implement CAA at the earliest. On which the Union Minister assured that after the completion of the exercise of giving booster dose of anti-Kovid-19 vaccine, the rules of CAA will be decided.
CAA could not be implemented because
Shubhendu Adhikari told the media that it is very important for West Bengal to implement CAA. Many people of Bengal can get benefit of this. Let us tell you that the Citizenship Amendment Act i.e. CAA was passed in Parliament on 11 December 2019 and it was also notified on 12 December. However, since then it has not been implemented due to the absence of rules.
Amit Shah has already announced
There were protests across the country against the CAA Act passed by the Central Government in Parliament. Many critics termed it as an action against a particular community. However, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has already pointed to the implementation of this CAA.
He had said during a rally in Bengal in May that the CAA law would be implemented after the corona epidemic was over. Amit Shah had said in his address about the CAA that this law talks about giving citizenship to such persecuted minorities from neighboring countries Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan who came to India by 31 December 2014.
