AAP Recognized as State Party: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday said it was accorded ‘State Party’ status in Goa by the Election Commission of India based on a review of its performance in the assembly elections held in February. CM Kejriwal congratulated the party workers on this and thanked the people for reposing faith in AAP and its ideology. Referring to the official letter received from the Election Commission, AAP’s national convener and Delhi CM Kejriwal said, “After Delhi and Punjab, AAP has now got the status of a recognized party in Goa as well. “He said, “If we get this status in another state, we will be officially declared a national party.” Delhi CM Kejriwal tweeted a letter from the Election Commission shared on Twitter, according to which he In Goa, “On the basis of a review of the performance of Aam Aadmi Party in the elections to the Goa Legislative Assembly, 2022, it was found that the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, for the Aam Aadmi Party to be recognized as a State Party in Goa, It satisfies the conditions laid down in para 6A of 1968.
After Del n Punjab, AAP is now a state recognized party in Goa too. If we get recognized in one more state, we will officially be declared as a “national party”

AAP is currently a registered recognized party in Delhi NCR and Punjab State and ‘Broom’ is a reserved election symbol. The Commission also granted state party status to the Aam Aadmi Party in Goa under the provisions of the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968.
AAP party’s performance in the assembly elections held in Goa and Punjab
AAP had won two seats in the Goa Assembly elections, in which it got 6.77 percent of the total votes. With a resounding victory in the recent Punjab Assembly elections, the party had won 92 out of 117 assembly seats and secured 42.01 per cent of the total votes.
