Dawn quoted Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Asif Ahmed Bhugio as saying that the suspects were local criminals who stole valuables like idols, Hanuman’s mace from the temple last month and later sold them to scrap buyers.

Police recovered all the stolen items
About eight idols, Lord Hanuman’s mace and other items of worship have been stolen, the police said. The police had also arrested Saifuddin and Zakaria Anwar, two buyers of the stolen goods and recovered the goods from their custody.
