17-year-old girl who came to visit with friend raped in Delhi, two arrested

Girl Raped In New Delhi Railway Station: New Delhi Railway Station (New Delhi Railway Station) police station is once again in the headlines regarding women’s security. This time a 17-year-old minor girl was gang-raped by two people in the bushes near the Tilak Bridge railway track. However, on receiving the complaint of the case, the police registered an FIR and arrested both the accused. The accused were identified as Hardeep Nagar (21) resident of Sector 22, Faridabad Jawahar Colony and Rahul (20), resident of Agra.

According to DCP Railway Police Harendra Singh, the victim had gone to Chandigarh a few days ago with her family members for some work, where she stayed from July 18 to 25. There he met Deepak (25), a resident of Gonda UP. She left her home (Gujarat) with Deepak to go to his village and on 5 August both of them caught a train to Lucknow. The next day she reached Lucknow with Deepak.

From here both went to the village by taxi. After staying there, both reached New Delhi Railway Station at 2 pm on 7th August. Both had to catch the train to Gujarat. His Jam Nagar Express train was missed at quarter to ten in the night. There was an altercation between the two regarding this matter and Deepak left him at the station in anger.

The victim tried hard to find him in the railway station premises. While she was at the Central Foot Over Bridge, she met Hardeep Nagar and Rahul, two people selling water. The victim sought help from both of them and called her home and requested them to talk. He made the victim’s brother talk on mobile. Both told the girl to help her catch the train.

After this, both of them took the girl with them by asking them to catch the train at another station. After taking her to the bushes near the Tilak Bridge track, both of them raped the girl. After this they brought him towards Ajmeri Gate side in the early hours of August 8.

Action taken on girl’s statement
During this, Deepak encountered him. The accused Hardeep and Rahul threatened Deepak to leave the girl alone. The patrolling staff reached there after seeing the altercation going on between them. After listening to the victim’s entire story, the police got her medical examination done.

On the basis of the statement of the girl, both the accused were arrested and sent to jail under sections 376 (d) of IPC and 6 Pocso Act. It is to be known that only last month, a case of gang-rape of a young woman came to light at New Delhi Railway Station, in which two railway employees were accused.
