National Herald Case Update: The Enforcement Directorate will question Congress President Sonia Gandhi today in the money laundering case related to the National Herald. Sonia Gandhi will appear in ED’s office for questioning. Angered by Sonia Gandhi’s appearance before the ED, Congress has planned a nationwide protest against it. All the big leaders including Congress MPs, MLAs, Chief Minister will travel from the Congress headquarters to the ED office.
BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has targeted the Congress regarding this. Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “Today the ED is going to interrogate Sonia Gandhi; the Congress is going to do satyagraha, in fact it is not a satyagraha but a digression.” Actually they are on bail in this matter. He did not get relief from various courts. The Congress party has become the party of the family’s pocket, now efforts are being made to put the assets of Congress in their pocket. The same effort is being made in the National Herald case.”
National Herald allegations
Attacking Congress and Sonia Gandhi, Ravi Shankar Prasad further said that National Herald has properties worth thousands of crores in Delhi Mumbai Mohali and its investigation is going on. He said that when Modi ji was the CM then these people tried to harass him. Did the BJP perform then? We condemn this, it is the desperation of the Congress party.
Ravi Shankar Prasad continued the attack on Sonia Gandhi, saying that the National Herald was a newspaper, which was later closed. The liability on him also increased. A loan of Rs 90 crore was also given. He said that during this time a family organization named Young India was formed. The entire property of National Herald has been transferred to Young India. This was done illegally. The National Herald has got assets worth thousands of crores.
