Patrick Bamford grabs hat-trick as Leeds United end Aston Villa’s winning start

Leeds United Patrick Bamford scored second-half hat-trick brought Aston Villa`s 100% start to the season to an abrupt end with a 3-0 away win in the Premier League on Friday. The win moves Leeds up to third with 10 points but having played an extra game, two points behind Villa, while Everton leaders, who have 13 points, are in Southampton on Sunday.

Medium entertaining but goalless first at Villa Park saw the England midfielder Jack Grealish home side`s nearest go when his effort was cleared off the line by Lucas Ayling.Grealish then almost scored an impressive opener after 52 minutes, ranging from online media and jinking into the box before his shot was well saved by goalkeeper Illan Meslier Leeds.

The Leeds striker then completed the hat-trick, his game legs smart enough to create space for a precise curling finish 74 minutes for his first Premier League hat-trick. Bamford has six goals in six games, after winning only one in the top flight in his previous 27 with their former teams.
