Scope of Work for DEOs

- Entering data into CCTNS Core Application Software (CAS) from IIF-1 to IIF-24 or in e-Prison, e-Prosecution, and e-FSL applications under the ICJS project.
- Daily coordination with state CCTNS/e-Prison/e-Prosecution/e-FSL teams to update data entry status.
- Monitoring entries in Citizen Centric Services under the CCTNS system.
- Performing additional CCTNS/ICJS-related duties as assigned.
Period of Engagement
DEOs will be engaged for an initial period of one year, with periodic performance reviews by CID, Assam. Performance will be categorized as Excellent, Very Good, Good, Average, or Poor based on the quantity and quality of data entered. Contracts for DEOs in the Average or Poor categories may be terminated with one month’s notice. This engagement is temporary and does not guarantee permanent employment.
Leave Policy
DEOs are entitled to Casual Leave (CL), Earned Leave (EL), and medical leave as per Assam State Government norms. However, EL is not admissible in the first year, and leave approval depends on the competent authority’s discretion. DEOs may need to work on weekends or holidays based on office requirements.
Selection Process
The selection process for DEO positions includes:
- Written Test: An offline objective-type test with multiple-choice questions on basic computer skills/aptitude and general knowledge (60 marks, minimum 50% to qualify).
- Typing Test: Candidates who pass the written test will undergo a typing test (30 marks) requiring a minimum speed of 30 words per minute in both English and Assamese.
