After the removal of Partha Chatterjee from the cabinet, the speculations about the possibilities of a big deal have strengthened. It is being said that the government is planning to show the way out to the ministers associated in any way with the matter. An official statement said, “Parth Chatterjee has been relieved of his duties as Minister in charge of the Department of Industries, Commerce and Enterprise, Department of Information Technology and Electronics, Department of Parliamentary Affairs and Department of Public Enterprises and Industrial Reconstruction with immediate effect. is done.”

Trinamool Congress general secretary Chatterjee was arrested by the ED on July 23 in connection with its probe into alleged irregularities related to the recruitment drive of the School Service Commission (SSC). The ED has also arrested Chatterjee’s close aide Arpita Mukherjee in this case. ED has seized cash worth crores from Arpita’s flat located in the city. Reacting to Chatterjee’s removal from the cabinet, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bengal unit president Sukanta Majumdar alleged that the Trinamool Congress leadership was trying to make Chatterjee a “scapegoat”. He said, “There are many more people involved in this case. Mere removal of Partha da cannot save Trinamool Congress.
