UP ATS Raid in Deoband: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) raided Deoband in Uttar Pradesh’s Saharanpur district and took a suspect youth into custody. ATS is interrogating the detained youth. The name of the suspect is being told as Farooq. Independence Day is near, so at this time the intelligence agencies have become alert due to the arrest of the suspected youth from Deoband. The suspected youth who has been detained by the ATS is said to be a student of a madrassa in Deoband. According to the information, the suspect was arrested after raiding the ATS at four o’clock in the morning. Even before this, UP ATS has arrested many suspects and sent them to jail.

The suspect detained by the UP ATS is said to be originally from Bangladesh, who had come to Deoband from Karnataka. According to the information, the suspect has been found linked to a terrorist group on WhatsApp. The ATS has recovered several documents including Aadhar card and driving license from the suspect. The local police say that they were not given any information about the ATS raid.

Earlier these actions took place in Deoband

The UP ATS had earlier detained a suspected student named Inamulhaq from a hostel in Deoband on March 13. He was said to be associated with the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. At the same time, on June 23, the NIA had detained Mujibullah, a Rohingya student studying Islam from Madrasa Zakaria in Deoband.
