Heavy Rain Disrupts Hills: The rain on the mountains has broken as a disaster. There is an outcry from Jammu and Kashmir to Uttarakhand. While there was devastation in Baramulla due to cloudburst, people trapped in flood in Joshimath have been evacuated safely.
A large number of tourists got stuck on the way due to the sudden inundation after cloudburst in Hamam Markoot village of Baramulla. It is being told that along with the tourists, those people who had gone to work in the forest were also trapped.
It was a matter of relief that no one took the risk of crossing the flood and everyone’s life was saved. However, due to the strong flow of water, there has been a lot of damage to crops and trees. Along with this, due to heavy rains, the floods in Kahara area of Doda district affected life.

Like Jammu and Kashmir, rain has broken in Uttarakhand as a disaster. Due to heavy rains on Wednesday, a culvert in the Valley of Flowers in Joshimath broke down. Due to which about 140 tourists got stuck on the way. The administration swung into action as soon as people got the news of being trapped and the rescue operation started. After much effort, finally all the tourists were rescued one by one. Incessant rains at many places in the state led to landslides, which blocked many roads for traffic and affected normal life.
Two laborers died in Rudraprayag
In Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district, on Wednesday, two laborers working there died when the shuttering of an under-construction bridge overturned, while six laborers who were evacuated in an injured condition have been admitted to the Rudraprayag district hospital. A new bridge is being built between Rudraprayag and Srinagar under the Chardham ‘All Weather Road’ project and the accident happened during the preparation of a net of iron bars for the pillars of the bridge.
