I am also the first President of the country who was born in independent India.” President Draupadi Murmu lauded the tribal contribution in the freedom struggle and said, “From Santhal revolution, Paika revolution to Kol revolution and Bhil revolution, the tribal contribution in the freedom struggle was further strengthened.”
He said that we were inspired by the sacrifice of ‘Dharti Aaba’ Lord Birsa Munda ji for social upliftment and patriotism. We have taken life forward. I have realized the importance of forests and water bodies in my life. We take necessary resources from nature and serve nature with equal reverence.
India’s achievement on corona vaccine
President Draupadi Murmu, in her first address, appreciated India’s step in the prevention of corona infection. He said in his speech that just a few days ago India has made a record of applying 200 crore doses of corona vaccine. The patience, courage and cooperation shown by the people of India in this entire battle is a symbol of our growing strength and sensitivity as a society.

President Draupadi Murmu Recalling the sacrifices and education of the freedom fighters of the country in his speech, he said that countless freedom fighters like Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Nehru ji, Sardar Patel, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru, Chandrashekhar Azad made us the nation. He was taught to keep self-respect paramount. Many heroines like Rani Lakshmibai, Rani Velu Nachiyar, Rani Gaidinluy and Rani Chennamma had given new heights to the role of women power in nation defense and nation building.
