Sonia Gandhi will be presented in front of ED today, know what has happened so far in this case

Sonia Gandhi: After Rahul Gandhi, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team will interrogate Sonia Gandhi today. Congress leaders are accused of grabbing the loss-making National Herald newspaper through fraud and misappropriation of money. Sonia Gandhi will leave the house at 11.30 am and will reach the ED office at 11.45 am. National Herald will interrogate Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the money laundering case related to the newspaper.
In view of health, Sonia Gandhi has got a special exemption from the Enforcement Directorate. Periodic breaks will be given to take the necessary medicine. Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi can go to leave Sonia till the ED office. Now understand with a little detail what happened in the National Herald case.
What happened till now?
- On 1 November 2012, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy filed a case.
- On 26 June 2014, the court issued summons against all the accused including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi.
- On August 1, 2014, the Enforcement Directorate registered the case.
- On 19 December 2015, all the accused got bail from Delhi’s Patiala House Court.
- 2016 Supreme Court refuses to quash action against Congress leaders.
- In September 2018, the Delhi High Court dismissed the petition filed by Sonia and Rahul against the notice of the Income Tax Department.
- On June 2, summons were issued for questioning Sonia.
Rahul Gandhi has been questioned for about 50 hours. Sonia Gandhi will be questioned today. Sonia was to appear before the ED on June 8. But could not appear due to ill health. While ED is preparing to interrogate Sonia Gandhi, Congress leaders and workers will take to the road to show solidarity with Sonia. The performance of Congress will be on three fronts.
