PM Modi Meeting: Prime minister Narendra Modi (PM Modi) on Sunday held a meeting with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ruled states and asked them to ensure full coverage of welfare schemes and promote business environment in the state. The Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of 18 states participated in this meeting, which lasted for more than four hours. BJP President JP Nadda was also present on this occasion. The BJP said in a statement that during the meeting, Modi emphasized on better implementation of some of the government’s flagship schemes and initiatives like Gati Shakti, Har Ghar Jal, Swamitva, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
“Prime Minister Modi emphasized the need to ensure maximum coverage of all major schemes and said that BJP ruled states should move forward in this direction,” the statement said. Modi mentioned several initiatives taken by his government. Modi asked the chief ministers to ensure that their states give due importance to sports and ensure availability of best facilities to encourage participation and engagement of a large number of youth.

Chief Ministers of 18 states were in the meeting
Senior party leader and Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav and party’s good governance cell chief Vinay Sahasrabuddhe also attended the meeting. Sources said the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of 18 states deliberated on achieving 100 per cent target of all centrally sponsored welfare schemes and flagship programmes. In these states, BJP is in power on its own or in alliance with other parties.

Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi AdityanathMadhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also attended the meeting. Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant were also present in the meeting. Several Deputy Chief Ministers including Devendra Fadnavis from Maharashtra and Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi from Bihar also attended the meeting.
