One individual washed away by the expanding floodwaters of a waterway at Kaldiya in Baksa locale on Friday. The missing individual distinguished as 55-year-old Kripa Bora, was on his way for a memorial service when the grievous episode happened. Bora was resigned staff of the Indian Army. The State Disaster Rescue Force (SDRF) propelled an inquiry activity to discover Bora’s body.
As per the latest data, the flood-impacted districts are Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Biswanath, Sonitpur, Darrang, Baksa, Nalbari, Barpeta, Chirang, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, Dhubri, South Salmara, Goalpara, Kamrup, Kamrup (M), Morigaon, Nagaon, Golaghat, Jorhat, Majuli, Sivasagar, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Karbi-Anglong and Cachar. An aggregate of 432 mitigation camps have been presented. In the mitigation camps, there are so far 45,565 people.
