MEA Reply to OIC: On the completion of 3 years of the abolition of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, the statement of the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) has been answered by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). The Ministry of External Affairs has said that such statements expose the OIC only as an organization which is dedicated to communal agenda through terrorism.

Responding to media queries regarding OIC Secretary General’s press release on Jammu and Kashmir, Official Spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs Arindam Bagchi said that the statement issued by Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary General on Jammu and Kashmir speaks of bigotry. He said that the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is and will remain an integral and inseparable part of India. He said that as a result of the long-awaited changes three years ago, it is today reaping the benefits of socio-economic growth and development.

What did OIC say?

The OIC issued a statement saying that three years ago, the Government of India had taken a unilateral decision illegally. The Indian government has made many illegal geopolitical changes by unilateral decisions. The OIC has appealed to the international community to take appropriate steps to resolve the Jammu and Kashmir dispute under the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.
