To sensitise the local people. And aware then about the outbreak of novel corona virus, a group of student volunteers of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Digboi College have initiated voice call messages to various villages through audio whatsapp in six different languages viz., Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Nepali and Adivasi. Hence, they have also conducted several educative animation and drama from their own home creating a good enviroment.
There has been a lot of things done by some brave and kind heart people. The NSS unit of Digboi College in Tinsukia district has made an arrangement of the “Mask is Must” campaign with Margherita subdivisional administration for two days at Digboi. These brave NSS volunteers were regarded as COVID-19 warriors by following physical distancing with the tasks to observe the passengers travelling in the ASTC buses without wearing masks. Educating them them why it is important, making them wash their hands using machines provided by Digboi Municipal Board. Free masks provided by the Rotary Club of Digboi. These were distributed among the passengers at the ASTC bus stops.This is a great act done by the group of students.
