Now suspected patient of monkeypox found in Telangana, India has returned from this country

Monkeypox Latest Update: Monkeypox symptoms have been seen in a person who returned from abroad in Kamareddy district of Telangana. State health officials said on Sunday that the patient has been admitted to the Government Fever Hospital in Hyderabad. The man had returned from Kuwait on July 6 and had fever on July 20.

State Public Health Director G Srinivasa Rao said the man started developing rashes on July 23, following which he was admitted to a private hospital in Kamareddy district. Rao told that the doctors of the private hospital, after showing symptoms of monkeypox, referred him to the government hospital in Kamareddy district and from there the patient was brought to Jwar Hospital here.

After taking the patient’s samples, he will be sent to the National Institute of Virology (NIV) in Pune and he will be kept in the isolation ward till the report comes. The senior health official said, “We have identified six people who came in contact with this person. However, they do not have any symptoms and they have also been kept in isolation. Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao has reviewed the situation and based on his instructions, all necessary measures are being taken.
