Its been more than 6 months as the leader of KMSS Akhil Gogoi was taken by NIA. A special NIA court in Guwahati on Friday dismissed the bail request of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) boss Akhil Gogoi, who was captured for his supposed job in a fierce dissent against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in Assam.
“The NIA court has dismissed the bail application. We are yet to contemplate the nitty gritty judgment and discover the reason for dismissal. In like manner, we will move the High Court in next seven days,” Gogoi’s insight Santanu Borthakur told journalists.
The exceptional NIA court depended on the proof gathered against Gogoi and saw that it can’t be said that the allegations are entirely far-fetched, said a NIA articulation.
KMSS boss Gogoi, who has tried positive for COVID-19, is right now experiencing treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
He was captured on December 12 a year ago from Jorhat by police and later the case was given over to NIA for testing his supposed job in the savage dissent and potential connections with Maoist components.
The conference on Gogoi’s bail supplication proceeded for 10 days in NIA court, which at last brought about its dismissal on Friday.
