News of relief amid rising cases of monkeypox, Delhi’s first patient discharged from hospital

Monkeypox Virus: Amidst the increasing cases of monkeypox, news of a relief has also come to the fore today. In fact, the first monkeypox patient of Delhi has now been discharged from the hospital after fully recovering. This patient was admitted in Delhi’s LNJP Hospital for the last 11 days. According to the hospital, when the report of this patient came negative, it was immediately discharged. So far 3 patients of monkeypox have been found in Delhi. In the latest case, a Nigerian has been found positive.

This patient is said to be a resident of Delhi, who has also had a travel history during this period. Delhi’s Loknayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital has been made the nodal hospital for monkeypox and all the patients associated with this disease are being treated in this hospital itself. In such a situation, when the first monkeypox patient admitted to this hospital has completely recovered and gone home, the hospital administration is very happy with it and is seeing it as a big achievement.

On this whole matter, Dr Suresh Kumar, Medical Director of LNJP Hospital said that this is a big achievement for Loknayak Hospital. I want to congratulate the team of our doctors engaged in the treatment of monkeypox that they worked hard day and night and this patient got cured. This patient was in great need of mental support, our team worked for that too.

Patient was hospitalized for 11 days

Dr Suresh Kumar told that this patient is from Delhi itself but Himachal Pradesh had a contact history. Before being admitted to LNJP, he was ill for 15 days, had fever and had skin problems. He was admitted in LNJP hospital for 11 days. The initial two reports of the patient came positive while the third report came negative, after which we discharged him. During this, we have treated the patient according to the guidelines issued by the Central Government and WHO.
