New wires related to teacher recruitment scam, after Arpita-Parth, ED now called TMC MLA Manik

West Bengal SSC Scam Latest Update: After the arrest of Minister Partha Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee in the teacher recruitment scam case in West Bengal, now many more strings are likely to be added in this case. The ED has now sent a notice to Trinamool Congress MLA Manik Bhattacharya and called him for questioning at ED’s Kolkata office tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday 27 July. At the time when this recruitment scam happened, Partha Chatterjee was the education minister of the state and Manik Bhattacharya was the former chairman of the Higher Secondary Board.

ED has summoned Manik Bhattacharya tomorrow afternoon

After this fraud in the Education Department, the ED had arrested former Education Minister Partha Chatterjee in view of his involvement in this case. After that his close friend Arpita Mukherjee was arrested. Now in this case, Manik Bhattacharya has been asked by the ED to appear before the investigating officer for questioning at 12 noon at the CGO Complex of Kolkata office yesterday.

Documents related to the scam have been found from Partha Chatterjee’s house

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) claims that during searches at Partha Chatterjee’s house, several documents related to the scam have been found, including admit cards, appointment letters, property papers. Apart from this, the ED has also recovered documents related to candidates for recruitment in Class C and Class D services from the house of Partha Chatterjee. ED has also found documents related to immovable properties in the name of several companies during searches from the house of Arpita Mukherjee, aide of Partha Chatterjee.

The ED had also raided the residential premises of Manik Bhattacharya on July 22 as well as those of others allegedly involved in the recruitment scam. Rs 20 crore in cash, jewelery and foreign currency were allegedly recovered from Arpita Mukherjee’s residence.

Ongoing interrogation of Partha Chatterjee-Arpita

Former education minister and current industry minister Partha Chatterjee and his alleged close aide Arpita Mukherjee, who are currently in ED custody and being interrogated at the CGO complex here, were arrested on July 23. Arpita has made many revelations in the interrogation, due to which many people can now come in the JD of this scam.
