Navy is sending ships all over the world under the Amrit Festival of Independence

Independence Day: The Indian Navy is sending its ships to the ports of almost all the continents under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of the country’s independence. Navy officials said the ships were traveling to all continents except Antarctica.
In Asia, INS Chennai and INS Betwa are visiting Muscat, while patrol vessel INS Saryu is leaving for Singapore. For Africa, the Navy is sending Talwar-class frigate INS Trikand to Mombasa in Kenya while patrol vessel INS Sumedha is on a visit to Perth in Australia.

In North America, INS Satpura is departing San Diego in America, while frigate INS Tarkash is on a visit to the port of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, South America.
The Navy is sending a maritime training ship INS Tarangini to London for the European continent. In London, the crew of INS Tarangini will pay tribute to Indian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the two world wars. He will pay tribute at the Commonwealth Memorial Gate. Similarly, the crew of INS Saryu will pay tribute at the Kranji War Memorial.
In Mombasa, Indian Navy personnel will take part in a commemorative pillar event on the battlefield of the Teita Tweta area, where Indian soldiers laid down their lives while serving in the East Africa Campaign of World War I.
