These MPs were demonstrating inside the house with placards written against inflation in their hands. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said, “Parliament is not for sloganeering, but for discussion and dialogue. I don’t want to take action against any member but I also don’t want to see placards and sloganeering in the House. The people of the country do not want to see placards in your hands. You are all honorable, the people of the country have sent you, the people of the country are watching, maintain your dignity.
Suspended Congress MP said this
Manickam Tagore, a Congress MP who was suspended, told the media, “We have been suspended from the House for raising the voice of the people in Parliament. We will continue to fight for the people of the country. Hundreds of things are not allowed in Parliament, only the praises of Modi and Shah are allowed.
Earlier, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi proposed that the Congress MPs in the House have been subjected to a ruckus that they have behaved unfavorably to dignity, so they should be suspended from the proceedings for the remaining period of the ongoing session. Earlier, Presiding Chairman Rajendra Agrawal said that some MPs are continuously showing placards in front of the plinth which is not in line with the decorum of the House.
