Major road accident in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand, roadways bus full of passengers fell into a ditch

Mussoorie Bus Accident: A bus full of passengers fell into a deep gorge in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Rescue operation was carried out on the spot by ITBP Academy Mussoorie. The personnel of ITBP Academy pulled out the injured and admitted them to the hospital for treatment. Several people were injured when a roadways bus carrying 39 passengers fell into a deep gorge near the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Academy in Mussoorie on Sunday afternoon, the ITBP said.

No death has been reported so far. The incident happened at around 1:45 pm today near Mussoorie Gate of ITBP camp. The personnel of ITBP Academy reached the spot immediately after the accident and rescued the injured from the bus. This bus was coming from Dehradun and was going towards Mussoorie.

The bus fell into the ditch uncontrollably

It is being told that the bus suddenly went out of control and fell into a ditch near ITBP Academy. As soon as the information was received, the police-administration team left for rescue on the spot. The injured passengers have been rescued and admitted to the hospital. During this, the continuous rain also became a problem for the rescue team.

Heavy rain became a disaster in Uttarakhand

Earlier on July 30, a part of Badrinath National Highway-7 was washed away due to rising water in Khachra drain located in Lambagarh amid Orange Alert issued in Uttarakhand. After the incident, the pilgrims were stranded on both sides of the highway. In another incident, teachers of an inter college in Uttarkashi helped their students to cross an overflowing drain after heavy rain. Students and teachers formed a human chain to cross the running water.

landslide in nainital

Earlier on Friday, a landslide was reported on Bhowali Road in Nainital. Nainital DM Dheeraj Singh had said, “The road was completely damaged due to the landslide. It will take at least a week to restore it.” The Dehradun Meteorological Center had issued an orange alert with a warning of heavy rainfall in the area. This alert was issued for Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri, Pauri, Champawat and Bageshwar.
