Ludhiana: Only 178 appear for JEE Main

After lost of protest by students finally JEE has started. The joint entrance examination (JEE) main, for admission to engineering schools took place on Tuesday amid strict precautions and social distancing measures for pandemic Covid-19.

Candidates appearing for the examination in the first shift 9:00 to 12:00 reached the TCS ION digital examination center area, Sherpur Chowk and were asked to comply with Covid standards.

According to sources, only 42% of the candidates have shown in the first shift and 48% appeared in the examination in the second shift (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.).

In the first quarter, 170 students in total, only 73 appeared in the examination while on 105 students 218 sloughed second shift. However, in January this year, over 1400 students have the entrance exam into two teams.
Senior JEE is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by the National Agency test twice a year for admission to the National Institute of Technology (NIT’s), the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), and institutes technical funded by the government. Applicants may appear for one or two entrance exams. The best of the two scores is taken into account for the ranking.

The staff has been deployed to the front door to check the map admit candidates and a mask 3 ply was given by the reviewing authority. Applicants had to undergo thermal screening at the entrance and several disinfectants points for the hands have also been preserved.

Many students who appeared in the document B.Arch in the first quarter is the math section difficult because of digital issues. The paper carried a total of 400 points.
